Palletizing & Warehousing RFQ template & spec checklist
Everything worth specifying when you ask for Palletizing & Warehousing quotes, in one checklist you can copy. It's written for food plants first and works for beverage plants too. Free to copy, no sign-up.
Palletizing and warehousing equipment handles product once it is in its case or bag: conventional and robotic palletizers, depalletizers, stretch and shrink wrappers, pallet conveyor and dispensers, case erectors, and the racking, shuttles, or automated storage that hold finished goods. Plants buy here to remove a manual stacking job, raise end-of-line rate, improve load stability for shipping, or densify a crowded warehouse. Pattern flexibility, load containment, and cycle time at real case weights drive palletizer selection, while throughput and building constraints drive storage design. Because layouts and case mixes vary, three quotes reveal how each vendor handles your least stable pattern.
What to include in your request
- ▢ Case or bag dimensions, weight, and surface (slippery film, corrugated, poly bag), plus the full SKU range
- ▢ Cases per minute at sustained rate, and the number of infeed lines or SKUs run concurrently
- ▢ Pallet type and size (GMA, CHEP, Euro, slip sheet) and the maximum load height and weight
- ▢ Required pallet patterns, tier sheets, and a load-stability or transit-test target
- ▢ Environment: ambient, cooler, or freezer-rated, and any dust or washdown exposure
- ▢ Building constraints: clear height, column grid, floor flatness and load rating, and dock configuration
- ▢ Integration: pallet labeling, wrapper handoff, and WMS or host communication
What drives the quote
- Palletizer type (inline, layer-forming, robotic) and the number of infeeds
- Cycle rate and the end-of-arm tooling or layer-transfer design
- Safety fencing, area scanners, and integration engineering
- Stretch wrapper class (turntable, rotary arm, ring) and film pre-stretch
- Storage: rack type, height, seismic zone, and any automation
Common spec mistakes to avoid
- Quoting on the average case and ignoring the lightest or least stable SKU that defines the pattern
- Underestimating film and wrap parameters, so loads fail transit and arrive leaning or collapsed
- Forgetting freezer-rated components when the palletizer sits in or feeds cold storage
- Not confirming floor flatness and load rating before specifying tall racking or a robot base
- Overlooking future SKUs, locking in pattern software that cannot take new case sizes
Lead time
Lead time depends on robot and controls availability and on how much custom infeed, pattern software, and safety guarding the layout needs. Racking and automated-storage lead times swing with steel supply and any engineered shuttle or crane content.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I get quotes for Palletizing & Warehousing?
- Start a request and describe what you need once. Our agents shortlist Palletizing & Warehousing suppliers that list it, email each one your request from a PostRequest address, follow up once, and line up price, minimums, lead time and terms side by side. No account or password needed.
- Are the suppliers on this page vetted?
- They're directory listings from public sources, not endorsements. Before our agents send your Palletizing & Warehousing request, they check that each supplier actually offers what you need. During early access, a person on our team reviews every comparison before it reaches you.
- Can I include suppliers I already use?
- Yes. Add them and we'll request quotes from them alongside new options, so you see how they compare.
- Do suppliers see who I am?
- No. When our agents send your Palletizing & Warehousing request, suppliers see the spec and roughly where it ships. Your name, company and contact details go to a supplier only after you choose to connect.
- What does it cost?
